Calista Kay Flockhart was born on November 11, 1965, in Freeport, Illinois. A Fine Arts degree holder from the Rutgers University, she was destined to conquer the world of glitz and glamour with her impeccable acting skills and determination to own a portion of the very elusive arena in the entertainment industry.
Her long range of TV, Films, and Theater stints described the long way that she had hurdled to finally make her dreams come true. She debuted on her acting career when she got the bit role as a college student in 1994, in the Robert Redford's "Quiz Show". A year after that, she was able to have the opportunity to portray a bigger role in the "Drunks" but her performance was not strong enough to overshadow the high powered antics of Faye Dunaway and Parker Posey. It was with the portrayal as Laura, that she was able to triumph in the Broadway arena. She was starred opposite Julie Harries in the 1994 revival of the "Glass Menagerie".
