Ashley Olsen is a famous American actress, best known as half of the child actress duo (with her sister) of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. She and her sister played the youngest member of the family on the popular sitcom "Full House". With her sister she has acted in many television programs and family marketed movies, and the two of them are at the center of a small media empire.
Ashley Olsen was born in Sherman Oaks, California on June 13, 1986. When she was nine months old, she and her sister Mary-Kate began appearing on the show "Full House". They were hired as twins to portray the character of Michelle Tanner, because labor laws for child actors restricted the number of hours per day that any one child could work. "Full House" was extremely popular in the United States through the late eighties and early nineties. The show went on for eight years, allowing Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen to grow up with the role, and the two of them starred in many family oriented straight-to-video movies during this period, establishing a strong family market.
