Alyssa Milano

Gaining her first recognition and reputation from an 8 year old role in a touring production of the musical Annie, Alyssa Milano has moved on to become a well known television and film actress. Born and raised on Staten Island, New York, she grew up with her parents, Tom and Lin, and her brother Corey. Her father and mother both supported her acting career, and perhaps even provided some of the inspiration for young Alyssa, with Tom working as a film music editor, and Lin working in fashion design. After her part in Annie, she moved on to do television commercials and other stage productions, until receiving her first major television part in Who's The Boss? at age 11.

Growing older and continuing her success in acting with mainstream film parts such as Confessions of Sorority Girls, Deadly Sins, she captured the attention of the Japanese especially, with the release of the movie Commando, in which she played the daughter of the star and producer, Arnold Schwarzenegger. When asked by record producers in Japan (after this film aired on cable television there) if she could sing, she responded, "yes." From there, she became a crossover artist, signing a five album deal, and achieving notable success in her musical debut and throughout her musical career.
